A former NCAA athlete, Val Pepiot founded Sport Trough Life (STL) after finishing his international track season in France.
Val was born in Besançon, France. He started his running career ten years ago and after three years done at in engineer school in Lyon, France he decided to change his path and move to the United States. To be a student-athlete and represent a US school has always been his dream so he made it.
In 2014, he came to the Academy of Art of San Francisco. In 2015, he became the first man of the program to become a NCAA Top 10 runner in cross-country. For two years, Val studied communication and media and managed to be in 2016 on four National podiums in France and in USA.
Val is passionate about life and people who are driven by passion. He sees the sport as a tool for well-being and learning. After nearly thirty track races in 2016, he decided to make a pause with high intensity training; and will decide in January if he’s going back to the track or not as a profesionnal athlete.
He wants to realize his purpose by showing the beauty of sport through people’s life, that’s why he made STL: to see the sport in a wider version than just winning.
